In this role, you will:

You will be responsible for building and leading a team of stellar engineers, working on our flagship consumer iOS app, used by millions across the world. You will also enjoy working very closely with our designers and product managers, helping them define and plan their roadmap, as well as suggesting creative solutions to product problems.

You will also be building new features, refining existing ones, and defining technical architecture and infrastructure.

Our team is cross-functional, co-located with product and design. We are a very lean team, moving fast and always on top of iOS updates – we are an Editor’s Choice app, routinely featured on stage by Apple at various keynotes and events. We have a passion for building great consumer products, with a great user experience.

***This role can be fully remote anywhere in the UK***

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams on short and medium term roadmap, product requirements, A/B test design and feature rollout
• Collaborate with backend teams, defining public APIs used by our apps
• Mentor team members from a technical standpoint, and grow their careers
• Implement new product features, working closely with designers and product managers
• Contribute to the app’s overall architecture to keep it up to date: introduce new patterns such as reactive, async, upgrade system frameworks, etc.

• Significant experience in consumer facing iOS development, proficient in Swift and intimate with UIKit and other common iOS frameworks
• Excellent communication skills and empathy for other team members
• Have an eye for good design, and be passionate about consumer product development in general
• Pragmatic, quick learner
• Continuous Integration and automation experience welcome
• Experience writing unit tests a plus
• Backend experience a plus
