We're looking for a talented and passionate Senior App Software Engineer to join Wildlife's Studio Engineering Team.

As an App Engineer, you will participate in the full development cycle of the game. You will implement new features, improve the existing ones that already serve millions of players, work on integration with backend services, and make core technical decisions such as the overall software architecture or implementation strategy. Additionally, you will also collaborate with the UI/UX team, have the opportunity to contribute with the definition of the upcoming features, and participate on roadmap planning.

We know that the work we do has a high impact on our company's success and culture. The right person for this position is curious by nature, and comfortable in a “take the initiative” environment, loves solving problems, and can thrive in a fast and growing business.

What you'll do

  • Be part of a cross-functional team, directly contributing to feature development and maintenance on Android and iOS applications.
  • Settle overall software architecture of new features and propose refactors on Android and iOS applications.
  • Design, implement and test business logic on apps and services, including the definition of API endpoints and their implementation.
  • Ship new versions to production, supervise metrics and user feedback after the release.
  • Perform code review and write automated tests.
  • Estimate engineering-related tasks making assumptions about dependencies and risks.
  • Provide timely transparency of development status and risks to interested parties.
  • Work in an agile environment and proactively look for opportunities to improve processes.

What you'll need

  • Previous professional experience as mobile software developer, with apps published on the app stores.
  • Expertise in native Android and iOS app development (Java/Kotlin and ObjectiveC/Swift).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid understanding of computer concepts (data structures, concurrency, memory management, and algorithm analysis).
  • Experience leading small teams.

More about you

You are passionate about software development and are eager to learn tech in depth.

  • You are proactive, understand overall goals, and work towards them autonomously.
  • You are a champion of high standards, code quality, and best practices.
  • You have the autonomy to recognize the current and new priorities, evaluating the impact of their outcomes in the final result.
  • You are creative when solving problems and are continuously seeking improvements for processes and solutions.
